Anna & Andrew’s wedding day was romantic, family-oriented, & sacred! The two became one flesh at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg, Virginia. In 2020, Anna's family joined this parish & one of the first things her mom thought was "This would be a beautiful church for one of my children to get married in" & it truly was! After the mass, the newlyweds celebrated their marriage at the Middleburg Community Center in Middleburg, Virginia with their loved ones - a beautiful & historic venue located in a picturesque small town. The entire day felt like a Catholic fairytale!
The wedding day began with Anna getting ready at her childhood home, surrounded by her family & best friends. It was a peaceful, heartfelt, & joy-filled morning! Anna wore the same earrings her mother wore on her wedding day 28 years ago. Before she left for the church, she made sure she was wearing something old, something new, something borrowed, & something blue!
The Nuptial Mass was stunning, sacred, & reverent. The main celebrant was Rev. Msgr. William Saunders, a dear friend of the family who has known Anna since she was a little girl. Msgr. Saunders was joined by Rev. Joseph Farrell & Rev. Eduoard Guillox. As the church doors opened, Anna was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents to meet her groom. As Anna & Andrew professed their vows, there was a deep sense of peace & joy that was shared by everyone in the church. It was such an honor to document this sacred moment!
The celebrations continued at the charming Middleburg Community Center in Middleburg, Virginia, where the reception was held. The venue perfectly captured the couple's elegance & warmth, creating an intimate atmosphere where friends & family gathered to dance, laugh, & celebrate the newlyweds. The couple shares a love of literature, which inspired the decor for the venue. Each table centerpiece was a stack of beautiful old books with the table number set on top.
In the early days of Anna & Andrew's relationship, the two bonded over their love of literature, as well as, poetry. In honor of their love story, the couple placed a poem at each guest's seat with the hopes of inspiring literary conversations throughout the reception.
